Junior Kevin Oliver (4-3) picked up the complete-game victory, allowing
five hits and two earned runs while striking out five. Reggie Jones had
a two-out RBI double for the go-ahead run and later scored an insurance
run during the Cyclones' four-run seventh.

Winning pitcher Brian Anderson went the distance, striking out eight
and giving up two earned runs. Kevin Finney hit a solo home run for
Curie (11-17).

Winning pitcher Willie Martinez gave up three runs on four hits, struck
out five and walked three. Luis Colon had a two-run homer, Alex
Rodriguez was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Justin Montalvo had a double

Brian Manger's three-run triple was the key blow for Lake View (20-12),
which advances to Thursday's quarterfinals against Young. Manger also
earned the victory in relief.

Noel Pagan and Brendan McElhaney hit a first-inning grand slams to set
the tone for Lane (18-10). Henry Szumal earned the win, giving up two
runs on two hits while striking out seven. Kyle Huber had a single and
a triple and two RBIs, Oscar Buenrostro hit a single and a triple and
McElhaney added an RBI.

Kevin Ross was 4-for-4 with two home runs and six RBIs and Rashaan Fox
was 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs for Mather (11-13).

Richardson was 3-for-4 with the game-winning two-run triple in sixth
