Lane Tech opens with Fremd of Palatine on April 2, 2008. It should be a pretty good game because Fremd is not your typical suburban school with a great lacrosse program. Fremd finished a deceiving 1-9 last year, but they played a very tough schedule playing against traditional powers like Libertyville and Hindsdale Central. The games were not that pretty with scores like 19-2.

Lane plays in the weakest IHSWLA conference. (The IHSA does not have girls lacrosse as an official sport yet). Conference teams include Mather, Northside Prep, St. Ignatius, and Regina Dominican. St. Ignatius should be the favorite once again. Lane, Mather, and Northside Prep are the only Public League schools with girls Lacrosse teams in the IHSWLA.

Lane graduated a lot of it's scores from last year including captains Sinead Cross, Sophia Lugo, and Natalie Schuldes but look for the Indians to rebuild quickly.
