there needs to be a preview for brooks football team

This team is stacked with talent at the skill positions. The QB is accurate and throws a pretty strong ball. The RB position has always been a strength in the program. At the 7 on 7 the Receiving core looked like it might be the best this team's seen in years. Good height, speed, and hands. Strong line play is gonna be key if this team wants to get over that average status threshold

    More trouble for Lane?

Could Lane have to beat CVS to stay in the Illini conference?

Lane will lose to Dunbar, Simeon, and Curie, making 0-3 in conference right there.

Lane's toss-up games are vs. Young and CVS. Could the great Lane be kicked down to the dreaded Chicago Conference?

It could happen with Proesel and his bumbling staff running the Georgia Tech 'Rambling Wreck' triple option offense.

WY does have excellent skill players, but the lack of upper class men will make it a challenging year for the team.
Look for the sophomore players to be a big part of what this team does on the field in 2012.
Their inexperience may show at times, but the time on the field is going to make this a team to beat in 2013 and 2014.
Coach Franken will adapt the O and D to the players he has, and they will win some games this year. Simeon and Dunbar are the real mountains for WY to climb next. This will be a very good year for the program.
Last year's frosh -Soph team was almost all freshmen, and they were undefeated, including wins over a good Lane Sophomore team and Dunbar's JV team. Those kids played as a team and played to win and bring that attitude to this year's varsity team.

Well the first prediction was wrong..the Dolphins beat Ignatius 7-0 in overtime. It looks like this is going to be a good season for Whitney.

Today will leave WY 2-0, Little Village may be up and coming, but that drubbing they got last week from Lemont has them down.
Some major league character on this WY team, and a defense no one expected to see hit and hit and showed fundamentals have been a big part of the practices.
A saving tackle off an interception late in the game and the goal line stand that followed made this a game those kids are going to remember all year.

That's a great video and a great game. Whitney Young looks like they are going to be good. Love fan support and player enthusiasm. If WY can cut down on Turnovers, they could have a big season. Beating Dunbar, Lane, and Curie are not out of the question.

Whitney Young has a easy early season schedule. I wouldnt brag about beating up on the worst Catholic team in the city. I think it was a 6-0 game anyways beat a team worth a shit before you pat yourself on the back. I love that they think there good when everyone in the CPS knows what they do on O terrible Coaching. Didnt you guys get blown out by Fenger who lost their state playoff game in 4a 46-0. Im sorry but you play 8a football and stand no chance of making the playoffs. If you do us Catholic league teams will be waiting to blow you out. P.S Lane score was more impressive than your victory.
