rumored coaching changes at lane: softball and wrestling coaches are out! told admin on friday they dont want to return.
Posted by: lt athlete | August 11, 2012 at 10:13 AM
Do you blame them? New admin have no clue about sports. New AD total yes man. Hes only worried about himself and will not improve athletics at Lane. Once again, coaches will assume the role of AD.

My big surprise is Curie losing every game under McDonald in his 1st year. The loss of key players from last year and the adjustment to McDonald's
system w/ an already young team with less talent will cause the Condors to lose every game of this season. So many teams have gotten better and due to their adjustments, less talent, lack of key play makers and adjustments to a new coach will do so. Also, there's a lot of pressure on McDonld and due to his track record he won't be back after this season and if he decided too, due to the history of Curie, his failures won't be tolerated and he'll be fired & out of the job.

mutual? i know dingum doesnt know sports but teh new AD Leroy Jarka has a solid background
Posted by: athletic supporter | August 13, 2012 at 07:43 AM
Yeah jarka knows sports...lol...he bombed out at St. Pats, he bombed out at St. Ben's, he tooka job at Weber and they closed their school, and he bombed out at Lane....the only thing jarka knows is dandruff on his one sweater and one jacket he wears all year long and how to avoid any physical work like the plague....and I think he stil has the first dollar he ever made as he doesn't spend it on clothes or car....Though, cheap, lazy, dirty, and unsuccessful make him abundantly qualified to takeover for Rio as Lane's AD.

Well, if Neil has it right, WY will be the most successful overall in fall sports...
Posted by: A CPS football fan looking for good coaches | August 13, 2012 at 09:30 AM
? How ? That makes no sense. If Neil does have it right that means WY will only win one championship (boys golf), two 2nd's and two 3rd's...

WY will win boys golf easily.
I feel they will win girls cross country and girls volleyball. Their boys XC will be very strong. Their girls swimming team is top three in the city. I'm not sure they have enough this year to cathch Lane and NS, but nevertheless be very strong.
Football team I feel is good enough to finish 3rd in the toughest conference in the CPS.
Boys soccer is a bit young. I think they have enough talent to make it to CPS quarterfinals.
Spring sports are where WY is strongest. Though Fall sports are also very strong.
