Cant even get their schedules out on time like the rest of the state.

The CPS football schedule is done after being held up due to the longer school day planning. The sports office was told not to release schedules until June. Remember games are played at 4pm. Typically, CPS football schedules have been done in January. All schools received fall schedules 3 weeks ago. There will be few adjustments but the schedule is done.
typical critic.

A lot of these games might be "payout" games. Benet would probably not do so great against a Simeon or even a roster depth-challenged team like Dunbar or Hubbard. I actually have no doubt a school like Driscoll (closed in 2010, but a rising 3A to 5A power) would have been exposed against a like size CPS team. JCA best be recruting Bolingbrook and hood Joliet grammar schools.

so when will the official schedule be put out?

This really does look bad on CPS for not having the schedules updated. Were the only conference in the state with no schedule. Other conferences look down at us already. Why give them more of a reason to think CPS is a joke?
Posted by: idk | June 29, 2012 at 03:53 PM
Most schools know their schedule already and some even have them posted on their website.

CPS Football is a joke. What other district never won a state title. Having a schedule is the least of you sub-par coach's problems. What if there is a strike in your system? Well, it might save you guys some embarrassment. The same CPS teams win locally but are gone after the 1st/2nd round. You guys are not even close......yet.

Still don't have schedules up a week after every other conference in the state did.
Posted by: typical cps | July 03, 2012 at 06:43 PM
I'm a CPS Athletic Director and all high schools did receive the 2012 football schedule 3 to 4 weeks ago as I did via email from the sports office. Ask your AD to forward you a copy.

Although some or half of the CPS lack's good fundamental's and real teamwork there have been team's to prove them selves just as good as Suburban team's or out of state. Also the lack or early experience and participation within a sport causes most kids to start sports in highschool so they really dont have a chance to develop their skills. What i would like to see in the future would be more unity and sportsmanship throughout some CPS schools.

You're a nice guy, but.....CPS Football aint DOO-DOO. Tell the truth. There are good individual athletes but the teams are crap. Look at their records in contests outside of CPS. The biggest joke in CPS football is the Chicago Conference teams going to state when they can't beat their Illini counterparts or qualify for the Prep Bowl playoffs. The CPS football coaches are tools who have no clue about winning at the state level. They play for fun, controversy and conversation.

Fuck Simeon and their weak asses. They knew damn well that their asses couldn't compete and face humiliation on the south side.
Posted by: We are MC. | July 06, 2012 at 08:36 PM
MC weak af dey lame ass kids who are unknown in college take steroids and pay thousands of dollars to compete ...... they are not fucking with simeon....
look at d1 offers ...... lol look and see who names we hear later in life none are going 2 be from MC

That is the problem with Simeon....they talk a lot of smack and then have their butts handed to them in state playoffs! Stop talking and just play. Simeon is full of talent and most CPS schools would love to have the talent they have. The last few years they have really disappointed me in state playoffs. Nothing personal against their coaching staff but it seems like they cannot make the adjustments needed to win during state playoffs. Simeon has enough talent to win in CPS but coaching would take them further!

Simeon has been the pride of the cps. The last two years they have beaten Mount Carmel at Soldier Field, whooped St.Ignatius ass, won a thrilling game against Schaumburg in the state playoffs and lost close games to Lake Zurich in the quarterfinals and to Lockport last year.
Posted by: cps | July 07, 2012 at 05:25 PM
@cps last year Hubbard was the pride of the CPS
Posted by: Broncos | July 07, 2012 at 05:31 PM
@bronco
I agree!

Posted by: We are MC. | July 08, 2012 at 05:10 PM
MC beat Simeon last year. Two years ago Simeon beat MC in the Prep Bowl Classic. Sorry for the confusion.
