Taft is scared to move up in conference and play with the big boys
Posted by: taft | June 18, 2012 at 01:15 PM
why would you put urban prep in there with them???
Posted by: ? | June 18, 2012 at 01:54 PM
Roosevelt is also in the Inter-City 1. After fininshing their season strong, look for them to be one of the front runners for this division. This program is growing fast and is quickly becoming a respectable program. I expect them to move to the chicago in 2013. They have 2 coaches over there who stay under the radar but know how to coach a city program. My nephew played for them last year and he loved the new direction of the program. Watching their games last year and how young they were, I would expect big things from them this year..Go Roughriderz!

If you're in the CPS,you're weak AF. There's no difference no matter how many conferences you guys want to create.
Posted by: WW south | June 21, 2012 at 03:18 PM
@ WW South
Your talk is cheap because it was only 5 high schools in Chicago, only the small school would win state. WW South, Maine South or East St. Louis wouldnt be able to beat Chicago. You only talking trash about football but what about basketball. I don't remember hearing anything about WW South.
If you don't live in the city, don't talk about the city. Better yet, kill yourself. YOLO!

Bold-
Who are your "drops"? If its LT and Orr, I guarantee that CPS will ditch the Illini/Chicago setup and go back to geographic rivalries.

yall stupid senn is going 2 be 1st or second in their conference......They had a horrible coach last year and had to learn a new offense and defence a month before their season started ...... This year they have a new QB better coach and improved players in position except WR with the lost of their star jermaine baker ........
They beat uplift chi academy and foreman in 7 on 7 AT CHI ACADEMY .......improved offence

dont no what u been smokin but calumet wont b taking windy city conference they got beat by manley and h. p. 2011. t_birds will take that conference partner u heard? h.p. alumni.
Posted by: g-money | August 11, 2012 at 01:27 PM
h.p. can compete in any conference we have good coaching. it doesnt matter who we play . we start off with 2 illini teams every year beat harper 2010 and beat c.v.s.2011 there on our schedule this year too. our first and second pre_season games we will compete .
Posted by: g-money | August 11, 2012 at 01:37 PM
trying to get back where we belong romping with the big dogs playing in the state playoffs against richards 2 years straight has been a blast. we gonna find a way back to the illini . not dropping no time soon cnce we get back.illini were coming home go h.p.
Posted by: g-money | August 11, 2012 at 01:45 PM
c.v.s. should have dropped last year lost all conference games whats up with that? they get a second chance in the illini conference. some chicago conference would have gave a better challenge good luck this year u all will need it.
Posted by: g-money | August 11, 2012 at 02:04 PM
CVS stayed in the Illini because Taft was too big of pussies to take the move up..That's Taft's MO, "good, but, never good enough to compete consistently."
Taft not taking the move up to the Illini conference sends a bad message to his players and opens it up for Lane kids to bash Taft kids for being second rate in sports and athletics.
What I don't get is Taft's football coaches rationale for printing up those stupid state qualifier t-shirts. It's like bragging about graduating from 8th grade and high school. No big deal.
