David Timlin(sr) of Lane Tech wins the 1600 meter with a CPS outdoor best 4:21.19. That is also a modern day Lane Tech school record beating Kulayifi Haji's time of 4:21.97 in 2010. We haven't seen these kind of times for Lane since the 1960's and 1970's when they were running the metric mile.

Wait was Keelan in a different heat or does he just not get to be in the results? I'm not trying to take anything away for
a very strong performance- I'm just confused as to how Timlin "won" the race

Keelan and Roe were "at large" entries, meaning they ran as exhibition contenders seeking pr's
That being said, they didn't pay the team fee that financed the medals

Nothing is free. The exhibition runners weren't recruited. They agreed to pay the fee to run. They were not part of the team aspect. Same goes for the Niles West 4x8.
