qualified in what nationals? There was the Dorothy Dawson meet that was open to everyone this past weekend. IT's not nationals. The mark doesn't qualify for IPTT or New Balance Indoor Nationals... good mark though.

DeShawn Jordan of North Lawndale breaks De LA Salle field house 400 meter record with a hand timed 51.12 yes I know it was hand timed but still really fast. I will say this I sure would like to see him meto,Williams,hood, and the WY kid and Steadmen from MP face off. Hope all stay healthy until outdoor city

The amount of talent in this event this year is insane... Has dakari Howard ran a race yet? These kids are all close to meltos indoor PR of 50.4

It's going to be the best race at outdoor city if all make it there healthy and they don't knock each off at the cps qualifying meet

The mark does qualify for IPTT

Who do you guys see running the 400 at city?
Posted by: deep 400 | February 21, 2012 at 06:31 PM
If I had a dream 400 at city
1. Melto-NCP
2. Stedmen-MP
3. Gulan- VS
4. Dakari Howard- WY
5. D. Jordan- NLCP
6. Justin Smith- Payton
7. Wiley- Kenwood
8. Byron Kelly of brooks

If that's your 8 then Spencer Williams from calumet and Terry Magee of nlcp are left out of the finals which may happen because the 400 is at best 9 maybe 10 deep with guys running 53 or better

How about a team that ran 3:23 for 4x4. That's 50.9 average. So no one in that city 400 for LT?

this is going to be the best event in outdoors for city! the 400m talent this year is crazy probably the best in a pretty long time.

@IPTT
it doesn't qualify for iptt because it wasn't fat
Posted by: Kevin J | February 21, 2012 at 10:36 PM
^ it was FAT it was at a USATF meet
Posted by: Info guy | February 21, 2012 at 10:46 PM
@keven j
Alll USATF meets are FAT that time will count.
As for IPTT if they are looking at dyestat there are not many that have made qualifying times there haven't been a whole lot of FAT meets around the state. So I wonder if the people running IPTT is going to lower the FAT standards or just have relly small fields this year.
Posted by: Statguy | February 22, 2012 at 06:44 AM
Smaller fields. That's what the meet director said. He said that the meet has gotten too big and fields need to be limited.
Most of the qualifiers will come in around mid March.

And there is also a new rule, people who have qualified in previous years have automatically qualified this year.
