Neilski's first impressions
Lane was hoping to make it to it's 2nd straight Luther North title game. However, standing squarely in it's path will likely be King College Prep. The two teams are likely to meet in the 2nd round. As much as I liek Lane and have seen an improvement, I have a hard time seeing them get past a really good king team.
Taft is a surprising first place in the Red-North with a 2-0 record. They should get by Gordon Tech in the first round. I see Taft making it to the upper bracket semis where they will likely face King or Lane.
Mather will be the favorite in the lower bracket. Mather will easily get by CICS-Northtown in the first round. Then If Mather is to defend it's title it will have to beat it's stiffest challenge in the 2nd round where they will face the winner of Clemente and Maine East. Maine East is a bit down this year so don't be surprised if Clemente beats them in the first round. Clemente has a dangerous player in Kendarius Tucker. He is a high scoring player athlete that could give anyone he plays fits.
I see a Mather vs King College Prep final.
