Go Lane Go!
But don't forget to work out with the weights! Every lineman needs to be able to squat with at least 250X4, bench press at least 225X5 and power clean 220X5. All others need to squat 200X5, bench press 175X5 and power clean 175X5.
Don't forget the protein! 150 to 250 grams everyday for each hard working active member. Chicken, beef, eggs, milk and fish will do! Lets set some new Lane Tech weightlifting records.

Good post europeasant , that is the key ! You guys have no idea how strong you can get if you're consistent and work at it.Over the years I have seen a lot of players get extremely strong , squatting and deadlifting over 500 pounds .Some of the guys I remember are a bunch of guys back from the 80's (Bor, Pennington, Brzeski, Cuchran, Morgan, Jacobs,Kamberis and many more ) and some from the more recent years (Wegner, Evans, Tabani , Greenwich, Williams, Thompson, Akande) . In one testing session, Cortez Evans powercleaned 225 for 10 reps at a bodyweight of 180lbs. Jamelle Williams and Steve Thompson placed 2nd and 3rd in the High School National Powerlifting Championships.I'm sure there are tons of guys I left out , but the key is,they made themselves much better players . Make it your goal as a team for each senior class to be the strongest senior class in the state. Become the team that physically destroys everything in your path. Don't back down from the weights, attack ,fight and conquer them, and you will do the same against the man across the line from you.Anyone who ever needs any additional help or advice , I am more then glad to help .
