Last Year

Long time Prosser coach Jerry Reed was hoping to improve on their fall 2008 record of 4-5, instead in fall of 2009 he got another repeat and finished with back to back seasons. Reed, one of the longest tenured coach in the conference at 15 seasons, has seen his Falcons go up and down over the years. As early as 2007, Prosser was in the prestigious Illini-conference.

Prosser is one of those bubble schools every single year in basketball and football. They are either fighting to stay in the top conference (Red for basketball and the Illini) by preventing a last place finish or they are trying to get back into the top conference by finishing in first at the lower tier conference (Blue for basketball and Chicago for football).

Prosser fans were hoping for a top spot in the Chicago Shoulders Conference. Instead, they finished the Fall 2009 campaign with a disappointing 2-5 conference record. Only by winning close games over Chicago Conference bottom dwellers Schurz and Farragut did Prosser prevent a Chicago conference last place finish.

Fall 2010 Outlook

Prosser will be hard hit with graduation after graduating some key players like Brandon Payton and all-conference lineman Kendall Robinson. Their schedule has not been officially released yet except for the 3 games above against Kelvyn Park, Schurz, and Foreman. They will be a heavy underdog against conference favorite Foreman but should have winnable games against Schurz and Kelvyn Park.

They do have some athletes on their team and a respected coach in Reed whose is capable of putting together a solid team. We won't know yet if the fall 2010 team is capable of challenging the top conference dogs. Much of it will be determined by how much the team develops during the off season. I see Prosser as a middle of the pack Chicago Conference team at the least.

The biggest question about Prosser is who'll replace the 'real' head coach (Vincent 'Roc' Rociola) who was fired by Prosser principal Kenneth Hunter for a lack of credentials and is now a coach at Sullivan?

Also, will Prosser finally start doing grade checks on their football players and NOT allow failing players, players missing practice and school (especially the day of the games) to play?

If I were Prosser's opponents I would demand a CURRENT eligibility sheet for grades, absences, and suspensions on game days.....If Prosser has to play legal, then, they go 1-7 or 0-8

Prosser will play 10-12 freshman as most of the older players are too busy bangin' and smokin' butts

Prosser normally starts practice a few days before the first game with no double practices and will have everybody out on game days.

The team is filled with big and foul mouthed players with the hardest thing each of them has done up to this point is graduate grade school.....if they were as good as they said they were, did what they said they're gonna do, and stopped bitching about practicing then they would all be all staters.

But, instead, they would better off droping them to an 8 man football team and got rid of all the shit they keep on the team, especially the spanish gangbangers that are too stupid to know which is right and left, forget about right and wrong. And, the brothers on the team that are too worried if they'll get father's day gifts from Shanisha's, LaRhonda's, or Quinisha's parents.

Kelvyn Park will be good this year. Brian Carter at Wide Receiver, Running Back, and anywhere he wants on defense. Also look for Victor Medina and Jamal McNeeley. McNeely is one of the fastest underclassmen in the city as a sophomore. He will be playing football for the first time after qualifying for state in track.

Kelvyn Park has their share of problems like most CPS schools. The athletes for the most part are straight. Gangbangers don't play sports or play at most a year or two. The kids that ended up staying in sports for 4 years end up good influences for each other.

Prosser Football will be average if best. Grades are never checked nor are discipline factors ever enforced. Whether Coach Rock or Coach Reed, Prosser is an average football team at best. Students have no interest in playing extracurricular activities. Teachers and Staff members do race to the doors just to try and get away from the lunatic principal. (Even Assistant Principal Luna races out of Prosser!) Mr. Hunter could careless about Sports, Drama, or any other extra-curricular activity.
As I stated before, I would like to thank Mr. Hunter for allowing us all the opportunity to witness the “Teacher of the Month,” the sarcastic Coach Rock, being broken down slowly and painfully. The free lunch fraud has been going on in the CPS for decades. All someone has to do to get free lunch is fill out a simple form, tell them you parents make close to zero, and BOOM free lunch. I know lot's of people who have admittedly committed this fraud.

The unions do not care because about this fraud, because all they care about is that there are enough unionized cafeteria workers to feed the kids. They don;t care how they get paid, all they care about is getting paid.

Another person out there fighting the wrong battle is Ben Jarovsky of the Chicago Readers. He keeps writing articles in the reader trying to implicate Huberman, his staffs high salaries, and the TIFF controversy. That stuff is peanuts compared to the real problems. Joravsky has a vendetta against Daley, but does nothing to speak out against the unions who are committing the biggest fraud of them all by running billions in unfunded pension liabilities.

Ben Joravsky is everything that is needed in the city of Chicago. He is willing to expose the truth, something the Tribune and Sun-Times have not been willing to do. It's not nepotism. And the "double dipping" is simply the principal's preference as far as who gets the money. The real waste is the TIF, consultant contracts, bloated administrator salaries, and central office jobs that Duncan created are unnecessary with today's budget woes.

The educational system is set up to where savvy people can take advantage of the financial protocol and rape the district of multi-millions. Huberman and his new people getting more money than his predecessors is a perfect example of that. And then this man has the nerve to ask the teacher's union to forgo their raise.

If you watched the video, you'll see they did an audit of 1000 people in the CPS free lunch program and 1/2 of the people were ineligible. If that's a true representation of the CPS free lunch program, then that's $50M going to ineligible people.

Though, I think throughout the CPS free lunch program that the number of truly ineligible is more like 35%...that's still $35M being wasted on nasty nachos, soggy fires, and overcooked spicy chicken sandwiches

School Softball Team In Crash On Way To Game
Coach: Prosser School Team Went To Game In Cars Because CPS Can't Afford Buses

A drunken driver earlier this week slammed into a car carrying a couple of members of the Prosser Career Academy girls' softball team were on their way to a game.

The crash happened on Tuesday, as girls' softball team the team headed from the school, at 2148 N. Long Ave., to Taft High School, at 6530 W. Bryn Mawr Ave.

Somewhere between the two schools, a drunken driver crossed over two lanes and slammed into the car, hitting one of the coaches who was in the car with "a couple" of the players who had carpooled together, Prosser boys' baseball coach Juan Enriquez said Thursday.

The girls were checked at a hospital after the accident, but everyone was "fine," Enriquez said.

Police were not immediately able to provide information about the crash.

The girls were transported to the game in cars because of a continuing budget crisis. The Chicago Public Schools cannot afford to send buses, Enriquez said. This issue has also affected Enriquez's own team.

"A couple of our players ended up driving themselves to the game yesterday," Enriquez said. "I guess it's just tight around here with the budget and whatnot."

The Chicago Public Schools are facing a $1.2 billion deficit. In an effort to plug the gap, CPS cut sophomore sports for the spring, which officials say will save $1 million. Pre-school and all-day kindergarten programs are also potentially on the chopping block.

Lake View will play a soft schedule that's reminiscient of playing a bunch of schools for the blind.

Most of its players are Spanish, so, you'll have 15 real good kickers to choose from and a bunch of pansies who think they're thugs to play the other positions.

Some of their players will be african american. Though, they only show up for games and don't consider practice as important as slingin' it in the 'hood.
