Lane Tech and Senn are part of the Red-North conference.
Neilski's Red-North Predictions
1. Foreman - 4 D1 players on it's starting 5. Pure talent alone will win it for Foreman.
2. Von Steuben- This is not the Von Steuben teams of the past. Von Steuben will keep things interesting with guards Jamal Danzler and forward Floyd Campbell.
3. Lincoln Park - long time coach Tim Livatino is out. Foromer assistant Brian Murphy is the new head coach. As usual, he has lot's of talent: Mike Gabriel. Aric Dickerson, and Rashad Wahab among others.
4. Senn - senior guard Anthony Hendricks should keep Senn in it.
5. Payton - Larry Faines is their 3rd head coach in three years. There will be a drop off in their 19-11 record last year.
6. Lane Tech - young squad only has about 3 seniors on it's roster.
7. Uplift - Uplift is new to the Red after being in the blue last year. This program in on the rise.
8. Taft - This is an improved Steinmetz team over the one that was 8-20 last year.
9. North Grand - New Red-North member North Grand, should keep out of the cellar and win one or two conference games.
10. Northside Prep - I just can't see Northside improving much from it's 8-19 record from last year.
Hate to say this seeing as how you are from Lane Tech, but outside of the top 3 all the teams are irrelevant and won't factor much if at all.

Northside Prep played lost some close games last year so their 8-19 record last year was deceiving. NCP lost to Lane 76-71, Oak Forest 49-47, Mather 59-57, Senn 56-54, and Steinmetz 44-42.
But they were senior dominated. NCP graduated guys like Spencer Rosenfield, Eric Nelson, 6-6 Wemi Jemine, and captains Robert Kennedy and John Kinsler.
This is a rebuilding year for Northside. They do have promising sophomore guard Taylor Kuenh.
