2004 needs an asterick for boys champion. that was the year several teams were not notified of the time change. And the city's best runner Greg Jones of Lincoln Park was forced to run alone in a later race against 4 other schools , in a very strong head wind. He was only able to pull out a 16:35 due to him being so far in front . He showed everyone the truth at Sectional by qualifying for State and smashing the two afformentioned runners. He was actually the first CPS Boy to make to down state after the Sections were changed.
