Louis Pasat-Trinca is starting to take football really serious. He only started playing football his freshman year at Lane Tech. Some thought his future was going to be in basketball where he starred for Lane's frosh-soph team and played some varsity his sophomore year.

But as a junior he focused solely on football and the results have paid off. He recently accepted an offer from the University of Iowas and turned down offers from the University of Colorado from the Big 12 and from Stanford from the Pac 10.

It is reported that this summer he will be playing football in Australia to get more experience. Then play football for Lane in the fall. Then he wants to graduate mid-semester in January 2010 instead of May 2010 so he can enroll at the University of Iowa a semester early to get acclimated.

Trinca is taking football dead serious.

You must have missed the Lane vs Curie game last year. You missed Sam Altman #1 WR from Curie. 6'1 190lbs. 4.5 40yd, 35 inch vert. 1st Team All-City and All-Conference. Over 1400 all purpose yards. Being recruited by Illinois, Ball State, Cincy, among others. He was at the Nike camp at U of I.

What happened to the Running Back Jason Stigler from Lincoln Park. 5'7 185 pounds and he also put up big numbers. Over 130 touches for 1500 yards along with 15 touchdowns. He is very strong for his size maxing out on the bench at 325 and squat at 465.

It's good college of football game. Some are undisputed college prospects. Others still have work to do but have a chance.

what about Quintin Mays from Phillips High School? At the Illinois camp at Lane Tech, he posted a 40 time of 4.5 and had 5 interceptions last year.

Watch out for the following seniors (Class of 2010) from Washington.

    OT/DT Malcolm Harris, 6-5, 260, sr.

WR Carl Golston, 5-10, 165, sr.

    RB/WR Joshua Pellez, 5-10, 170, sr.

Golston is the starting WR and has the ability to breakaway for a long TD. Pellez is a quick RB. But the guy to really watch out for is massive Malcolm Harris at 6-5 260lbs. He plays both ways for Washington and is under the radar because he plays for Washington the SE side of Chicago. If Harris played for Morgan Park or Simeon, you would hear all about him.
