I discovered this new website called ResumeBucket.com. It allows job seekers to post their resume and it allows employers to post jobs for free. I have not tested it fully yet, but my first impression is that it looks worth exploring further.

Sourcing Plan Hirearchy

Here is my typical sourcing plan:

1st level search -ATS first- contact candidates who have directly applied to the position first

2nd level search - Job boards- utilize job boards

3rd level search - Deep dive- contact candidates through Inmail on LinkedIn, joining groups, boolean searches, google searches, AIRS, Talent Hook, networking

Using LinkedIn for Recruiting

There are many ways to use LinkedIn for recruiting. Here are some of them.

• Contact people via Inmail (but it costs an extra $200 or so to upgrade)
• Post ads
• Join groups
• Post ad ad via ebay classified and other sites and post it to Linkedin

It is important to develop a good reputation and word that you are a recruiter for a certain position.

Indeed Feature Sends You Resumes

Indeed.com has this great new feature that sends resumes directly to you the recruiter. I have not tested it fully yet. But initially it looks good. All you do is tell Indeed what types of resumes to send you then every morning it gives you a new batch of resumes that match what you are looking for. The resumes do not have phone numbers, emails, or other contact information on there. However, you can contact them via Indeed through an email.
