The prevailing paradigm out there if your looking for a job is to make a resume and then send it out to everyone you know or use it as application for a job. However, Seth Godin in his blog post today says:
"Great jobs, world class jobs, jobs people kill for... those jobs don't get filled by people emailing in resumes. Ever."
Think about it. Do the following people have resumes and post it on Monster: George Bush, Larry Ellison, Eric Schmidt, Bob Knight, Greg Canessa, Guy Kawasaki, Robert Allen, Alan Krueger, and more? None of those people have resumes. Why? because they do or have created something remarkable. In other words, work hard on being remarkable and you may never have to use a resume again.
Having a greatly built resume is very important for the person who is in search of job. As a good resume is the first step towards your job.
