"There are only two forces in the world, the sword and the spirit. In the long run the sword will always be conquered by the spirit."
-- Napoleon Bonaparte
Go to any room filled with adults, and undoubtedly almost everybody knows who Napoleon Bonaparte was. There is a reason for that. Napoleon definitely knew something about leadership. I'm not here to talk about whether he was a good or bad man, but I do know that he was a master in motivation. This was a man who convinced about a million of his troops and generals to wage a war against the biggest power in the world Russia and to this day is still highly talekd about.
One of Napoleon's strongest skill was motivating people. As the above quote says "the sword will always be conquered by the spirit." Meaning if you can get people to believe in your cause, then they can accomplish great things and nothing can stop them. You can arm your troops with the greatest weapons or tools, but if they do not believe in your cause then they will probably not have the spirit to continue forward.
I feel the same hold true for recruiting organizations. Morale building, spirit building, and instilling and living a belief in your cause - (even if it is just to teach your organization to become the best recruiting organization they can become) - takes paramount importance to doing things like adding greater tools for your recruiters. I feel that a highly motivated recruiter will find solutions. But only if he believes in the leader and believes in his cause.
